Michonne hears some strange sounds   2 comments

A few days ago it was unusually warm, so I decided to take a walk.  (Actually I was looking for some late-season berries, but I didn’t want anyone to know).  I was walking through the trees, when I heard a sound that I thought was some ravens or blue jays.  They make all types of odd sounds so I didn’t pay much attention.  It was like this: Is this a raven?
Sometimes I think they just talk to hear themselves talk.

But then, I heard something very strange and a little scary: THIS isn’t a raven!

THAT was no raven!   In the trees and fields we hear many strange sounds, but I’d never heard anything like that!   It was far away, so I wasn’t too scared, but I did decide I didn’t really need to be looking for berries and it was time to go home.

I started wondering what that strange sound was.   It wasn’t a wolf, or a lion-cat, or even one of the mens wolf-dogs that had gotten away.   I had heard of things called fox, but I have never seen one.  They say no foxes have been here for a long time.

Whatever it was, I think it needs to take a little more time washing up.  I don’t want to be mean, but it was pretty s – t – i – n -k -y.  Not stinky like a skunk (who is really only stinky when they’re afraid or angry.  Most of the time they’re pretty nice.   But don’t make them angry.  You wouldn’t like them when they’re angry).   What kind of animal do you think made those sounds?

  1. That’s what I thought too. Or a Jay, they make all types of sounds. But the men say it’s a Red Fox! And they say the other sound is a Red Fox, too! If you ask me, those are some strange sounds.

  2. I listened to the sound, but not sure what it is. Is it a Kestral?
